This role will place you within our Consultants Team to interact with E&C clients and suppliers in the Nordics. You will be at the forefront of changes in the energy industry.

Job description

Building a business from their passion for energy markets. That’s what our founders did in 2005 and that’s still what we do today, supported by an international team of energy experts who help spread this passion all over the world. At E&C Consultants, energy buying isn’t just a branch of our business – it’s in our DNA.

What is the job about?

Our large international clients need help in dealing with the price volatility in energy markets. They need someone they trust to help them minimize risks when buying energy. You will be their guide and assist them in putting together a good purchasing and renewable strategy and negotiating energy contracts. Increasingly important is the transition to green energy – something more and more of our clients need help with.

Why is that job best at E&C Consultants?

You can read more details here: Becoming an E&Cer, but in big lines:

  • We are a Great Place To Work certified company – you would work in a place where employee satisfaction is paramount

  • We provide Growth Opportunities - as E&C continues to expand, you'll grow alongside us

  • We implemented a Flexible and Empowering Culture: we pioneer with our unique Teal management style, which includes Empowerment, Ownership, Self-Management, Integrity, Transparency and Trust

  • We offer 46 days off / year (yes, 46!) regardless of the country / state you live & work in

What will you do?

You will develop and manage your own client portfolio, enjoying a great deal of independence in organizing your work. You will interact regularly with clients´ C-level management on all items regarding energy procurement, convincing and advising them on how to organize their energy procurement process. You will evolve quickly towards a role of coordinating consultant, acting as single point of contact for large international clients.

In details, you will be trusted with:

  • Risk Strategy: our clients need someone they trust to help them minimize risks when buying energy. You will be their guide and assist them in putting together a good purchasing and renewable strategy and negotiating energy contracts

  • Market Analysis: conducting market research to identify key trends, opportunities, and the competitive landscape within the energy risk management sector

  • Sustainability and green energy buying: finding the best sustainable solutions (solar, wind, cogenerations…) and supporting clients in contracting them

  • Projects: you will investigate the possibilities of renewable power purchase agreements for your clients.

Job requirements

We feel that to be successful & satisfied in this role, it's good that you have:

    • Competencies: confident communication style, resilience, curiosity and eagerness to learn, creativity in finding solutions and solving problems. It's also helpful to be well organized and have a flair for managing multiple priorities

    • Languages: Fluent English (business level) and proficiency in one of the Nordic languages

    • Analytical thinking: you will be involved in the tendering process, where you will have to interpret the data and draw conclusions from it, and make calculations

    • Experience in client facing roles: 1-2 years would be great, however if you have less or more, but still feel it's a fit, do not hesitate to apply

    • Education: bachelor’s degree in Consulting, Business or Energy Management, or a related field is preferred. Yet again - if you have a different one but still feel the thrill, don’t let it stop you!

    • Knowledge: understanding of energy markets, risk management solutions, and regulatory environment within Nordics are great to have but we will be providing in-depth training upon onboarding

    • Keen interest in energy: you will be following energy market trends and local regulations and share them with your clients

If you are still here and reading, you must be really interested. Great, as E&C is the best place to be!

Last but not least then, a sneak peek into our process (2-4 weeks):

    1. Application review: at E&C we always say that we look for personalities, not CVs. Yet, we need to start with something!

    2. First talk: you meet or with Joanna, our HR manager, or with the Team Leader, so you can both see if there is a match. It’s online and takes up to 45 minutes.

    3. Fun stuff: we ask you to prepare a business case. It varies between different roles, but each time gives you a flavour of what will you do at E&C. Helpful for you, and for us to make sure that the new role is something you’ll love

    4. Final round: you meet with HR and Team Leader where the business case is being discussed, and where we (hopefully) confirm the match

    5. Offer: you are about to become an E&Cer!

Send your application by clicking on the application button. Please send us your CV in English only and include the following statement in your application: "I hereby give consent for my personal data included in my application to be processed for the purposes of the recruitment process under the Personal Data Protection Act as of 29 August 1997, consolidated text: Journal of Laws 2015, item 2135 as amended".
